Resler explains Reasons for interim superintendent Steve Sailor's absence from the Monday night meeting were two-fold according to board president Robert Resler. Resler told the Comet after Monday night's meeting Sailor had already met the terms of his contract when an "unfortunate situation" arose and he was asked to turn in his keys and not return to the office. Resler said although details of the personnel-related issue could not be discussed, the "gentlemen's agreement" to part ways was congenial. "According to school records, Mr. Sailor had fulfilled his contractual obligations," Resler stated. "We needed someone simply to steer the ship until Mr. Walker's return. Mr. Sailor did a fine job, but was eager to make changes in ways that would interrupt Mr. Walker's plan for the corporation. That was when we had to part ways." |
