Roe resigns as Democratic chairman
By Debbie Lowe Staff writer

Carroll County Democratic Chair Dick Roe filed his resignation from the position with the clerk's office, effective Dec. 10.

Roe said Monday the party reorganizes every four years. He said his service at the top spot was concluded with the last election, which saw a Democratic sweep in the Delphi City government spots.

"I did my thing and learned a lot," Roe said. "For the first time in my 37-year career, I got to see Democrats and Republicans work together. I never saw them come together like they did in the last election."

Roe said the new chairperson would be chosen after the first of the year.

"I did my job and it's time to pass it on now," he concluded.
