Master voices to celebrate season

'Christmas at the Canal' offered this weekend

      "Christmas at the Canal" promises to put visitors in an old-fashioned holiday mood. The annual event, sponsored by Carroll County Wabash & Erie Canal Inc., will be Dec. 8 and 9 at Canal Park, Delphi. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

'Tis the season for a cheerful parade

      Skies over Delphi were drab Saturday, but the city's streets were filled with color and cheer as the Delphi Lions Christmas Parade marched through. Donna Sholty, who founded the parade and turned the reins over to Delphi Lions Club this year, led the way as grand marshal of the 15th annual event.
