Long-time city employee honored
It may have been a dreary, rainy Monday morning but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of Delphi Mayor Lee Hoard and a host of city employees at the Hamilton St. Bridge. Fortyyear city employee Larry "Bud" Cripe was presented with a surprise. He was awarded a plaque and a dedication to rename the section of Hamilton from the bridge to Armory Rd. "Bud is the kind of employee you can send out in the morning and he will be busy all day doing his job," Hoard said. Cripe's responsibilities include mowing and maintaining city greenspaces. His mother, Evelyn of Delphi, and two brothers, Jerry from Brownsburg and Ron of Delphi, attended the presentation.
