Volunteer firemen will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Fireman's Lounge.

Camden American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Legion Home for the annual Christmas party. Hostesses will be Grace Deel and Grace Arion. Members are asked to bring items, toys, mittens, hats, etc., for the Christmas Baskets donation.

Mount Zion Lodge No. 211 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Masonic Temple.

Blood pressure checks will be given at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Fireman's Lounge.

Camden Lions Club's annual family Christmas party will be at 6:30 p.m. Wed., Dec. 5, in the Fireman's Lounge. A carry-in meal will be served. Santa Claus will be a special guest.

Dorcas Missionary Society of the Baptist Church will hold its annual candy wrap at 6 p .m. Dec. 6 in the church fellowship hall. Officers will be installed. Bible book of the month is John. Hostess is Mary Whitfield.

Camden Lions Club recently held its annual family Thanksgiving meal in the Fireman's Lounge. Special guest was District Governor Ron Spivey and his wife. Those who received membership awards were Kenny Berkshire, Bill Dittman, David Jeffery, Don McCain, Wayne Dillon, Jay Dee Cree, Art Lane, Maxine Snider, Maxine Brown, Jack Gish, Tom Gray, and Jack Cohee. Awards were presented to the following for 5 to 9 years of membership: Mark Abbott, Rob Carpenter, Doug Dillon, Eric Foreman, Mike Gillam, Jill Moudy, Sue Penn, Christy Schock, Kyle McCain, Rod Moudy, Mark Schock, and Mary Whitfield.

Celebrating Thanksgiving Day and Friday with Frank and Mary Whitfield were their children and grandchildren: Gene Whitfield and friend, Cathy Dalton, Gene Whitfield Jr., Hali Whitfield and friend, Taylor Martin, all of Wentzville, Mo., Mary Frances Stilson, John David and Karen Whitfield, and Frank Daniel, Shanell, Zackery and Chelsea Whitfield.
