Rossville troop is collecting worn out flags

Rossville's Boy Scout Troop 337 is making plans to hold a flag retirement service during the troop's campouts next spring.

Community members who have old, worn, and torn United States flags may donate them to Troop 337 by giving the flag directly to any active troop member, delivering the flags to the Scout booth during one of Rossville's Varsity boys' or girls' home basketball games, or by dropping them off in designated collection boxes found inside local Rossville businesses. Those locations are: Rossville Post Office, Rossville Library, Dewey's IGA, and First Financial Bank.

According to Curt Snyder, assistant scoutmaster, all flags collected will be retired with the dignity and respect they deserve for representing the United States of America.
