DCHS football coach resigns

      Delphi Community High School football head coach John Gasser resigned the position last week. He was head coach for three years and an assistant for nine years prior. He will continue to teach math and coach the high school track and field team.

Taylor spoils Oracle season opener

      Head Coach Brian Tonsoni's second Delphi boys' basketball team opened the 2007-08 season at Taylor Saturday suffering a 69-54 defeat in a hard-fought battle against a much taller host team. It was a game of runs, with the Oracles making several spurts to keep the game close most of the way.

A proud moment for DCHS senior

      Delphi Community High School senior Shane Evans was named a 2007 Indiana High School Academic All- Star Nov. 9. He was honored at the Indianapolis Colts- Kansas City Chiefs game Nov. 18 for his academic and athletic achievements.

Carroll 7th splits with Frankfort
      Carroll's 7th grade A-team lost a close contest in overtime, 35- 33, to Frankfort. The Cougars were led by Eric Miller's fine allaround game with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Brady Wiles had 4 assists, while Taylor Downham chipped in with 8 points and 5 rebounds. The Cougars fell to 2-2.
