      This year's Thanksgiving meal was probably more expensive than previous years' meals. Purdue Agriculture Economist Connie Alexander stated in a recent article, "This year we're seeing food prices increase at a rate of 4.4 percent, which is well above the 10-year average of 2.6 percent.
