Eva F. McCoy

Eva Fay McCoy, 96, formerly of Cutler, died at 7:10 a.m. Sat., Nov. 17, 2007, at Hickory Creek at Lebanon Healthcare in Lebanon.

Born Aug. 15, 1911, in Clinton County, she was the daughter of Lewis E. and Rosa Wolf Douglass. She graduated from Cutler High School in 1927. Her marriage was on Dec. 31, 1931, in Noblesville, to Lloyd H. McCoy, who preceded her in death on July 11, 1997.

Mrs. McCoy was a seamstress, working at Hillman's Dress Shop in Indianapolis and then from her home for many years.

She was a member of Living Faith Church of the Brethren.

She enjoyed gardening and sewing and had a great fondness for cats.

Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Jones of Whitney, Texas, and Rosalie Hughes (husband: Larry) of Washington Court House, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Hess; one brother, Raymond Douglass; one sister, Elva Payne; one grandson, Steven Jones; and one great-granddaughter, Katie Moore.

Services were held Tuesday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Chaplain Carol Sowle, MA, of Asera Care Hospice, officiated. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora. www.bakerfh.com
