Opportunities to give and receive
Comet staff report

Those who can spare time or a dime will soon have a chance to spread a bit of holiday cheer to less fortunate Carroll County residents. Because of gifts from their neighbors, area children in need might receive a muchneeded morale boost this holiday season.

Carroll County Salvation Army is accepting donations of unwrapped toys, clothing and monetary gifts for its annual Angel Tree Christmas program.

The organization is also seeking bell-ringing volunteers for its county-wide program.

Those who wish to donate gifts or their time should call Kim Widner at (765) 564-6466.

Parents who wish to sign up to receive toys and clothes for their children through the Angel Tree program may do so Nov. 27 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stone Barn, 700 N. Washington St., in Delphi.

Applicants must provide photo identification for all adult household members and social security cards for all household members, along with proof of address, income, expenses and that all school-age children are enrolled in a Carroll County school. Call Widner for more information.
