American Legion Post 414 held its annual Veteran's Day dinner on Nov. 11. Thirty-three guests attended. Congressman Steve Buyer and Joe Oyler helped secure awards for some of the veterans. Commander Ed Schimmel, Bill Allen and Mark Altic led the program.

Kiwanis Club will meet Saturday morning for breakfast and meeting at the fire station. The club will have Christmas trees in the IGA parking lot around noon on Saturday.

Key Club, sponsored by the Burlington Kiwanis Club, is collecting food for the needy.

Burlington Church of Christ will have its annual meeting on Dec. 2.

The United Methodist Church will have its "Hanging of the Greens" on Monday at 6 p.m. Those helping should bring snacks.

The First Brethren Church will be decorated on Dec. 1.
