Members of the German Baptist church gathered for a "house raising" for Johnathon and Suzanne Wolf of rural Camden. About 50 men participated in the project, as well as some of the women who cleaned snow off of the floor so the markings designating where walls were to go could be seen. Before the day was over, interior walls, outside framing, trusses and roof sheeting were completed. Women provided dinner, which was served at a neighbor's home to over 100 men, women and children. The contemporary ranch style home is approximately 2,300 square feet, plus a full basement.

Mr. Wallmann and his wife also own the grocery store now known as Wallmann's Foods in 1967.

The Beesleys are retiring after owning the store since 1959.

All Master Masons and their families are invited to see moving pictures of the 1957 Indianapolis 500-mile Speedway race at a special showing in the Camden gym on Thursday at 7:30.

Duane Carter, famous race driver, will be present in person to comment on the race.

The film of the 500-mile race is a 30-minute film produced in sound and color. The film captures much of the pre-race action as well as the spins and thrills of the race itself.

The entire event is sponsored by the Carroll County Scottish Rite Club.

A number of the county schools were closed Wednesday because the children could not get there on account of the snow drifts. Some schools operated with a small number of students present.

Delphi was caught in the grip of winter. Roads were blocked all over the county and in this part of the state. Only about 3 hack loads of children were able to get to school. Several of these did not have a full load. It was one of the earliest snow storms for several years.

It cost Carroll county about $.444 per voter to hold the general election this year.

When you pay $10 to $25 for a Clothcraft suit or overcoat, you get $10 to $25 worth of clothing value-you get a suit or overcoat that is all-wool-will wear-will look well, and hold its shape until worn out.

It's this policy that has built up the large army of Clothcraft adherents. Myer & Eaton

A crowd of boys playing in the alley between Washington and Union streets near the railroad tracks at Delphi found a human skull. The flesh was nearly all gone but enough remained to hold some short, red hair. It had all the teeth in it and the boys thought it a man's head. After playing with their gruesome find for some time they threw it in an empty box car. How came the head in the alley? Here is a case for a Delphi Sherlock Holmes.
