Burlington Burlington Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the town hall. An open house honoring Dorothy Atkisson for her 90th birthday will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. at the community library. The family requests no gifts, however cards would be appreciated. A community Thanksgiving Service will be held Sunday evening at 6 at the Burlington Church of Christ. Kiwanis Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the fire station for breakfast and meeting. Crossroads Community Christian Church will have an all-church Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday. A talent show will follow. Faith Youth Group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. The United Methodist Church will have a carry-in dinner Thursday at 5 p.m. A program will follow. United Methodist Women will meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church. |
