Mears 60th anniversary

Sherry and Lois Mears of Delphi are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today, Nov. 7.

They were surprised with a family celebration this past summer when all six children and their families were visiting.

Mears and the former Lois Martin were married in Delphi, on Nov. 7, 1947. by Rev. W. Merlin Schwein.

The couple resides on a farm east of Delphi on Old Camden Rd. where they have lived their entire married lives.

They have six children, Dr. MartinMears (wife: Nancy) of, Edmond, Okla.; Amanda Stroop (husband: Tim) of St. Louis, Mo.; Lucinda Finkenbinder (husband: Alan) of Lafayette; John Mears (wife: Mary) of Delphi; Melinda Mears of Indianapolis; andMiranda Kissick (husband: John) of Elora, Ontario. They also have seven grandchildren.
