Call-out for Sewing Day; making projects for kids

Extension Homemakers Sewing Day will be held Nov. 12 at the 4-H Building in Flora from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Volunteers are needed for sewing and for other projects such as cutting and ironing materials and cleaning toys. Bringing extra sewing machines would be helpful.

Sewing projects will include items for Riley patients, and doll clothes and Christmas gift bags for the local Toy Store.

Anyone interested in helping improve the lives of sick children at Riley or families in need of holiday assistance is welcome.

Soup and beverages will be provided.

Toy Store organizers have made the request for 350 sewn gift bags. Donations of holiday fabric and matching ribbon, or fleece and 16" pillow forms would be greatly appreciated.
