Costume winners are announced

Burlington Kiwanis Club hosted its annual Harvest Party on Saturday evening in the Community Building. One of the activities was a costume contest. Winners were:

Ages 2 and under - Prettiest: Jadelyn Pohlman, cheerleader; Scariest - Connor Harmon, pirate; Most Original: Cassidy Powell, butterfly ballerina.

Ages 3-5 - Prettiest: Julian Herron, butterfly; Scariest: Dakota Jackson, Ninja; Most Original: Ben Hailstone, Harley kid.

Ages 6-8: Prettiest: Hailey Atkisson, bride; Scariest: Colby Trapp, green grim reaper; Most Original: Gage Poulos, mad scientist.

Ages 9-11 - Prettiest: 3-way tie - Danielle Amsbury, cheerleader, Hylee Retzlaff, Red Riding Hood, and Makayla Jackson, purple haired witch; Scariest: Austin Hall, scary farmer; Most Original: Alexis Ford, sub sandwich.

Ages 12-13 - Scariest: Easton Coulburn. Ages 14 thru adult - Prettiest: Tricia Jackson, flower child; Scariest: Kristi Coulburn, witch; Most Original: Mike Retzlaff, old lady.

Best Group - Prettiest: Tim, Heidi, Ben and Jadelyn Pohlman, football; Alexis Lee, Josie Lee and Kylie Unger, ladybugs.

Judges' Choice, best overall - Gage Poulos.
