Chili contest winners told
      The first annual Vianco Chili Burn was held Saturday. There were 14 entries. Winners were: 1st - Janet Peterson of Delphi; 2nd - William Vianco of Delphi; and 3rd - Brad German of Delphi.

      Flora Psi Iota Xi Flora Psi Iota Xi met recently for the fall party and October meeting. Thirty-one members and one honorary retired member attended. All members were asked to bring a gift (gag/good) in a brown paper bag to the party for an auction. The auction raised $272.

County Extension plans open house
      Carroll County Extension Service will host an open house Nov. 3 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the 4-H building in Flora. The public is invited for breakfast and to view the various Extension programs. Donations for the breakfast will go toward the Carroll County 4-H and EH Scholarship Funds.
