CHS cross country finishes season strong

Carroll cross country finished the 2007 season with some strong performances.

Both the boys and girls teams won Hoosier Heartland Conference championship titles. Earning all conference honors were: Boys - Tyler Macy, Andrew Miller and Seth Larimore; Girls - Ashley Bordner, Kaitlin Kennedy, Hope Hayden, Lauren Wilkinson and Abby Reinke.

The boys finished seventh in the very tough Lafayette Harrison Sectional. Their season record was 125 wins and 48 losses.

The boys graduate two, Sean Smith and Jason Hazel.

The girls finished fifth at the Harrison Sectional, earning a trip to the regional. At Harrison Regional they finished fourth, earning a trip to Semi-State (beating Lafayette Jeff in the process). At the New Prairie Semi-State Carroll girls finished 16th, moving up from 20th position last season.

The girls completed their season with a new record for most wins in a single season - 164 wins and 42 losses.

With no senior runners, the girls will have everyone back next year from this team.
