Pearl E. Brummett

Pearl E. Farney Brummett, 98, of 1 2 5 2 5 S . 250W., Delphi, passed away Oct. 18, 2007, at 2:45 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi. She had resided there since June 2003 and had been in ill health the past three weeks.

She was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Tippecanoe County to Andrew and Katherine Keifer Farney. She attended school in Tippecanoe County. Her marriage was to Chris R. Brummett in Tippecanoe County on Feb. 19, 1930, and he preceded her in death Nov. 19, 1986.

Mrs. Brummett was a homemaker and helped on her family's farm.

She was a member of Delphi Christian Church and Tippecanoe Township Extenison Homemakers Club, and was a former member of Tipwa Grange.

She enjoyed quilting, antiques and flower gardening.

Surviving are a son, Raymond Brummett (wife: Shirley) of Brookston; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Brummett of Delphi; eight grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; and seven greatgreat grandchildren.

Mrs. Brummett was preceded in death by a son, Leonard, a great-grandson, Christopher J. Brummett, two sisters and a brother.

Services were held Oct. 20 at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi, officiated by Rev. Bill Glenn. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg.
