Donald E. Aveline
Born Jan. 19, 1927, he was the son of Fred L. and Mary O'Tilda Boller Aveline. From 1940 to 1942 he attended St. Meinrad Seminary, and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1945. From1945 to 1947 he served in the U.S. Navy. His marriage was in 1947 to Mary Schaible, who survives. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 20 in Florida. Mr. Aveline retired from National Homes Corp. as director of purchasing in 1989, after 30 years of service there. Surviving with his wife are three children, Connie Crowder (husband: Don) of Delphi, Donna Caldwell (husband: Butch) of Lake Wales, Fla., and Dale Aveline (wife: Linda) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, George, Bill, Fred, Jim and Dick; a sister Mary Callahan; and a daughter, Theresa Aveline. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi on Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity. |
