Memorial Hospital opens the Hervey Preserve
Comet staff report

Logansport Memorial Hospital and its Foundation celebrated the Grand Opening of the Hervey Preserve within the city limits of Logansport on Oct. 12.

The Hervey Preserve features wooded land along both sides of Horney Creek and a 1.1-mile crushed stone path that connects with River Bluff Trail. It also includes natural paths, the Hervey Labyrinth, a picnic pavilion and parking lot.

The trail in the Hervey Preserve connects with the River Bluff Trail, opened in 2004 on a 1.3-mile stretch of abandoned railway bed on the north bank of the Eel River in downtown Logansport.

The Hervey Preserve and River Bluff Trail are projects of Memorial Hospital and its Foundation to support its commitment to the health and wellness of the community.
