The classic children's tale, "Rumpelstilskin," will be presented by Steven's Puppets Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m. The event is free. Reserve seats at the children's desk.

Carroll County on the Same Page Recycled Art Competition Exhibit is on display. Several area artists created works of art with found or recycled objects and materials. A reception and award ceremony will be Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. Selected works are available for purchase through a silent auction. A percentage of the sales benefit Carroll County Habitat for Humanity.

A Halloween party and story time for toddlers and caregivers will be Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Children should come in costume for a treat of songs, stories and games. A parade will wind through the library and children may pick up treats from library staff members.

Looking for that special decoration to welcome your holiday guests? Create a unique holiday banner Nov. 3 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Using acrylic paint on canvas and sealed with varnish, the banners will be appropriate for indoor or outdoor use. Class size is limited. A fee is due at registration.

Basic Spanish will be offered Wednesday evenings beginning Nov. 28. Taught by Noelia Vega, the class will run through Dec. 19. A two-week break will be taken for the holidays. Classes resume in January. For information call the library at (765) 564-2929.

Flora-Monroe Township

If you're looking for a bargain, come to the perpetual book sale at the library. You never know what treasure you will find including fiction, nonfiction, children's books, and even the popular comic books! You will find the book sale on the main floor of the library. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Friends of the Library.

Speaking of found treasures, the reception and results of the silent auction from the Recycled Art Competition and Art Exhibition will be Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Delphi Public Library. A percentage of the sales from the silent auction will benefit Carroll County Habitat for Humanity.

The reception is the final event of the 2007 Carroll County on the Same Page, a project of the Delphi, Camden and Flora libraries to encourage the entire community to read the same book and to build a better community through reading and sharing ideas. The 2007 book selection was "The Glass Castle," by Jeannette Walls.

The next storytime theme is "Pumpkins." Can you find the great pumpkin Charlie Brown? Pumpkin stories are easy to find at the library! Preschool storytime is Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
