High school theater offers Woody Allen play Delphi Community High School's upcoming production of the Woody Allen play is "Don't Drink the Water." The play tells the story of a Cold War family from Newark, N.J., who are mistaken as spies when father Walter inadvertently photographs missile silos as tourist attractions. When their lives are threatened, the family seeks asylum at the U.S. Embassy, under the control of not-responsible Axel McGee. With a cast of eccentric characters, this comedy turns an international incident into a hilarious affair. A cast of 15 students are in rehearsal for the production to be performed Nov. 16 and 17 at 7:30 and Nov.18 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets priced will go on sale the week of Nov. 5 and may be purchased from any cast member or through the high school office. Cast members include Brett Rogers, Chris Mayfield, Jo Britt, Andrew Martin, Arielle Brosman, Brenton Hathaway, Jenna Buehler, Shane Evans, Zach Hackert, Jenny Maxwell, Natalie Garrison, Jimmy Reed, Chloe Fivecoate, Ben Stewart, and Grace Currie. The play is under the direction of Sara Daly Brosman. |
