Old plow know-how
Dick McCain is shown plowing during Carroll County Antique Tractor Club Plow Day held recently at the farm of Meredith Ayres, south of Flora. About 75 people attended the two-day event, during which they plowed a 65-acre field. The club, incorporated in 1993, but many years older than that, is host to approximately 75 members.Member Tom Etherington, who brought two John Deere tractors from the 1950s, said he enjoyed the various projects the club takes on. "We'll just go in wherever they'll let us tear it up," he said.
