Carroll earns share of HHC title

In a re-scheduled match between Carroll and Central Catholic, Carroll earned a share of the Hoosier Heartland Conference title by beating Central Catholic 3-2. It is the first time since 1993 that Carroll has owned part of the conference title.

At #1 singles, Carroll's Kevin Ives defeated Danny Clerget 6-2, 6-0. At #2, Dru Anthrop defeated Isiah Stevens, Carroll, 6-0, 6-0. Corey Johnson, at #3 singles, won by forfeit for Carroll.

In doubles, Chris Laneve and Anthony Laneve defeated Carroll's Carson Spesard and Kyle Geheb 6-3, 6-3, while Carroll's #2 doubles team of Aaron Spesard and Hunter Upton defeated Alex Novak and Tyler King 6-4, 6-3.

The match was decided

when the number two doubles team of Spesard/Upton won the deciding point.
