Seese is National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist Martin Seese, Delphi, a student at the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities in Muncie, has recently been named a national merit semi-finalist. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) is a non-profit organization that operates without government assistance. The corporation was established in 1955 to conduct the National Merit Scholarship Program, an annual academic competition for recognition and scholarships that is open to all U.S. high school students who meet published entry requirements. The semi-finalists named in each year's merit scholarship competition show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Those who meet requirements to advance to the finalist level compete for National Merit scholarship awards. The Indiana Academy is a two-year residential high school for gifted and talented Indiana students located on the campus of Ball State University. Martin is the son of Carl and Beverly Seese. |
