ISP releases September stats

Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post have released statistics for September. Troopers issued 1389 traffic citations and wrote 700 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 19 drunk drivers and made 45 criminal arrests.

Other statistics include: 429 truck citations issued; 45 criminal arrests (five felony); 103 commercial motor vehicle inspections; 35 vehicle crashes investigated; 14 crash arrests; and 86 police services.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division worked 18 new cases and assisted the troopers in total criminal arrests.

The ISP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division weighed 5,762 total trucks at the scales on I-74 and the use of portable scales. There were 38 total arrests and 119 warnings issued by the motor carrier officers in September.
