90th birthday

Ruth Stone, formerly of Carroll County, will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house Oct. 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the home of Sam and Sandy Sterrett, 2601 Hillside Dr., Logansport.

Stone was born Oct. 22, 1917, in rural Howard County to Samuel and Rosa Bechdolt. She graduated from Camden High School in 1935. She retired in 1979 as an attendant at Logansport State Hospital.

Stone enjoys sewing, crochet, gardening, quilting and listening to gospel music.

Her children are Jean Willis of Arkansas, the late Rosa Cross of Royal Center, Sam Sterrett of Logansport and Luther Sterrett of Delphi.
