Moore 60th anniversary

Bruce and Betty Moore of Delphi celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a surprise party held Sept. 22 at Riley Park in Delphi. Family members hosted the event.

Moore and the former Betty Smith were married Sept. 20, 1947, in Delphi, by the Rev. McFaran. He is retired from Alcoa in Lafayette and she is a homemaker.

The couple has six children, Donna McWhorter (husband: Kenneth) and James Moore (wife: Cristina), all of Flora, Joy Burge (husband: Clayton) and Linda Moore (husband: Larry), all of Delphi, and Terri Moore and Connie Moore, both deceased.

They also have 19 grandchildren (two are deceased) and 35 great-grandchildren (one is deceased).
