Work- service day spent at park
Delphi Community Middle School runners participated recently in a community work-service day at Riley Park. Mary Ives and Sue Jargstorf of Delphi supervised the planting of spring bulbs. The student athletes also picked up numerous bags of trash in and along the park and annex in addition to their work in the gardens. "The work-service day is an opportunity for the kids to give something back to their community. It is especially appropriate to help in the clean up and maintenance of the city's parks where the runners spend so many hours in training and racing," commented coaches Don Currie and Margaret Mose.
