Announcements White-Carroll County Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program will sponsor a CAR SEAT CLINIC Oct. 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Delphi Public Library. Car seat technician Sharon Hartwell will lead the program. Refreshments and a chance to win a free car seat will be offered. Delphi Lions Club will sponsor the 15THANNUALDELPHI CHRISTMAS PARADE Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. Line-up will be in front of Monroe St. gym as in previous years. This year's theme is "A Family Christmas." Delphi Presbyterian Church will host its SENIOR CITIZENS'MONTHLYLUNCHEON Oct. 17 at noon. An elevator is available for those in need. The staff and board of directors of Family Clinic of Carroll County invite the public to the clinic's annual CELEBRITY WAITER DINNER Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Wabash & Erie Canal Center on N. Washington St. in Delphi. The fundraising event will offer an auction, raffle and entertainment. Emcee will be Mike Piggott and Purdue Pete will be in attendance. CLASSES are offered each Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in room AA4 at Delphi Community High School. Students may join the class anytime during the school year. Delphi Presbyterian Church, at Main and Indiana streets, will host a BAKED STEAK DINNER AND BAZAAR Oct. 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. A country store and crafts will be available from 3 to 7, and the dinner will begin at 5.Acost is associated with the event. Carry-out and delivery services are available. Elevator access will be provided for those in need. The annual HALLOWEEN FEST sponsored by the Flora Lions Club will be Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the 4-H Building at the Flora Community Park. A chili supper will be served at 5 p.m. Halloween costume judging (for all ages) will begin at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the evening go to the Flora Community and Senior Center. |
