Meetings The CWF of the Delphi Christian Church met Oct. 2 with Sharon Quinn as hostess. Twelve members answered roll call by giving the firstmemory of their life. Letters were read from the Pembertons, who are missionaries toAfrica, and MikeWard, who is in Indonesia. Plans were made for filling shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse before November. The meeting ended with a white elephant/bake sale. The nextmeeting will be Nov. 6 withWinnie Beard as hostess. Double Dozen EH Double Dozen Extension Homemakers met Oct. 2 at the home of Helen Forgey with 11 members responding to roll call. The hostess presented devotions. Wilma Robeson led in singing the song of the month and in recognizing the birthdays of Helen Forgey and Virginia Marcellino.An anniversary card was signed for Perrietta Appleton who now resides in Franklin. Plans were made to decorate a Christmas tree for the Holiday Workshop on the 29th. Barbara Dillon will be in charge of procuring and delivering the items forMake a Difference Day. A contribution was made to purchase books for the Head Start program. For Health and Safety, Virginia Marcellino reminded the group to get flu shots, and pneumonia shots when required. MargieAlbaugh gave the lesson, "Organizing your Recipe Collection." Elizabeth Mylet won the prize. The next meeting will be Nov. 6 withMargieAlbaugh as hostess. |
