Family Fun scheduled for Delphi library
By Debbie Lowe Staff writer

A community Scavenger Hunt will be held at the Delphi Public Library Oct. 7 beginning at 1 p.m. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the event was designed to say "Thank You" to the community for its patronage and support during book sales and other fundraising events.

The library provides a free venue for events and contains many resources. Community members and their children will be invited to experience the library by participating in the hunt using clues to develop answers to questions using the inside of the library to hunt for the answers.

Gift certificates as prizes valued from $10 to $100 for Borders Bookstore will be awarded to the teams with the most correct answers.

The day's activities will also include entertainment by the Delphi Entertainers from 1 to 3 p.m. and Cliff Martin of Monon will perform bluegrass, gospel and country music on a guitar from 1:30 to 3:30. Activities for children and teens inside the library and face painting outside will be offered. Hot dogs, drinks and popcorn will also be available.
