Burlington UMC welcomes new pastor

Bonnie Shoaf is the new pastor at Burlington United Methodist Church.

She was raised in Elston, just outside of Lafayette and attended Purdue University and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. Ordained since 1987, she has served United Methodist churches at Raub/Goodland, Porter, South Bend, Bourbon, Buck Creek.

She has completed course work in Gestalt, TA and family and marriage counseling.

Prior to becoming a pastor, she served, along with her family, as program director of the Pine Creek United Methodist Camp in Pine Village from 1969 to 1980.

Pastor Shoaf is interested in children and youth and expects to start some new programs at the church.

She enjoys reading and writing, public speaking, knitting, taking long walks and the Chicago Cubs.
