New gas station planned for Burlington

Burlington may soon enjoy the services of another gas station if Steve Barnard is successful. Barnard was granted unanimous approval for modified setbacks by Carroll County Board of Zoning Appeals at the Tuesday night meeting. The measure was requested for property located at the northeast corner of the intersection of SR29 and SR22 in Burlington. A US76 station once occupied the same space.

The variance will allow Barnard to position gas pumps in such a way as to provide additional maneuverability for traffic.

The next area plan meeting will be Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
