Adams
QUINCY ADAMS, a fourth grade student at Delphi Elementary School, attended the National Young Scholars Program (NYSP) held at Dekalb, Ill. Ill.

While there, Adams engaged in challenging coursework and handson interactive learning in his specific area of study, Fantasy, Fable and Folktales. At the conclusion of the program, he created projects tying in leadership skills learned with discoveries made in his specific area of study.

Adams said that he loved the program. "I learned a lot and made some new friends."

Adams was nominated by teacher Griffin Anderson.

NYSP taps into a child's natural curiosity and helps them continue down a path toward a lifelong love of learning. It is sponsored by the National Center for Early Academic Excellence.

Area students who completed degree requirements this summer at Ball State University include:

ERIN HALLETT, Delphi, Master of Arts degree.

LINDSEY VICK, Rossville, Bachelor of Science degree.

Students earning dean's list recognition for the summer session at Ball State University include: JACQUELINE FASSNACHT and RYNE HILLENBERG, both of Delphi, and LINDSEY VICK of Rossville.

Whiteaker
JENNA WHITEAKER, daughter of Randy and Jane Whiteaker, graduated in August from Indiana University with a degree in criminal justice. She was on the dean's list her entire college career. She also attended the IU Police Academy, graduating Aug. 11. She is currently employed there.
