Comet staff report
As part of the Delphi Public Library's effort to publicize National Banned Books Week, it is holding book fairs and library programs at Barnes and Noble Book Store in Lafayette Sept. 30.

On that day, members of the Red Brick Theater will perform dramatic readings from four books most frequently challenged in the United States. "The Stupids Step Out" by Harry Allard will be read at 2 p.m., "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret" by Judy Blume at 3, "Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger at 4 and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" by Mark Twain at 5.

Readers will be Arielle Brosman, Jenna Buehler, Grace Currie, Brenton Hathaway, and Andrew Martin.

A portion of the proceeds from purchases will be donated to the library by the bookstore. Vouchers are required for the donations. They can be obtained from library staff prior to the event or at the counter at the bookstore.
