Local bank helps raise funds for Riley Hospital
Comet staff report

Patients of Riley Hospital for Children are benefiting from the efforts of a local bank that is raising funds for the Riley Children's Foundation.

Throughout September and October, First Financial is taking part in the annual Coins for Kids fundraiser that is coordinated by the Indiana Bankers Association.

Through the Coins for Kids project, First Financial Bank is "selling" paper coins to clients in exchange for $1 donations to Riley Hospital. Clients can make a donation and write their names - or the names of honorees - on paper coins that will be displayed in the banking center where they are sold.

The local bank is one of several other member banks of the Indiana Bankers Association that are participating in the fundraiser. Last year, more than $16,000 was raised by Indiana banks through the program.
