Woodruff running for Hamilton College

Peter A. Woodruff has been selected to compete for the Hamilton College (Clinton, N.Y.) men's cross country team for the 2007 season.

Woodruff, a junior, is a graduate of Carroll High School and the son of Tony and Grace Woodruff of Cutler.

The Continentals, led by coach Brett Hull, have established a winning tradition at Hamilton. They were the New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) champions in 1975 and more recently, the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) champions in 1988.

Most recently, Hamilton enjoyed a spirited three-year run in championship events from 1998 to 2000 under coach Hull. The Continentals recorded three straight topfive finishes at the NYSCTC Championship (including third place in 1999) and three top-10 finishes at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championship.
