Camden American Legion will meet Monday in the Legion Home.

Items for the Kentucky Mountain Mission, sponsored by the United Methodist Church, may be dropped off at the Camden Community Building on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Use the back door at the back of the building.

Kick-off for the new Camden Community kids club, "Jesus Junction," will be Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 232W. Cumberland St., Camden. The youth program for grades kindergarten through sixth grade is being sponsored by the four Camden area churches. Jesus Junction will include games, songs and lessons about Jesus. The first meeting will include a ride on a trolley to each of the churches. Future meetings will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Janet Lecy and Hannah of Lafayette were Saturday night guests of the Whitfield family.

Camden Council of Churches meet Thursday at Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren. Plans were made for the Camden Community Thanksgiving Service to be held Nov. 21.
