Rip rap away!!
NIPSCO took steps to fight an erosion problemalong the Tippecanoe River below the Oakdale Dam. Large stone commonly known as 'rip rap' was stacked from the top to the bottom of the bank to prevent soil from leaving the hillside and undercutting the power lines on the NIPSCO property along the river.
