Mission team from Hickory GroveChurch is going toHaiti Eight people from the Hickory Grove Church will be going on a work trip to Cazale, Haiti, Jan. 28-Feb. 4. They will be assisting the Zachary missionary family there who operate "Real Hope for Haiti." The Zacharys operate a rescue center that houses a maximum of 65 children, and a clinic where people come for medical treatment. Some of the projects the team is working toward doing are repairing a town's cistern ($5,000), running a portable steel drinking water line across a river ($2,500), room addition for a laboratory ($2,000), as well as conducting a daily Bible School with the children. The group will be doing fundraisers to help pay for the projects they will be doing there. "Thank you to churches that have partnered with us in collecting peanut butter these past months," said Pastor Ken Smith. Anyone who would like to help financially with these projects or would like a member of the group to come and share about the mission trip to Haiti with churches or other organization, call the church at 574- 965-2731 or Pastor Smith at 574-826-4307.
