Bridge lifted over canal
It took three cranes to lift the 19,000-pound Stearns truss bridge over the canal in Delphi. Two cranes were on one side of the canal, and one was on the other side. The job was done Tuesday afternoon at the site behind Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut. The 1905 iron bridge was acquired from Pulaski County, and was taken apart, repaired, painted, and reassembled.
