Board of Realtors donation
Carroll County Board of Realtors recently donated two dozen smoke detectors to the Jackson Twp. Fire Department. Pictured, l-r, are Bret Rinehart, president of the CCBR, and Ron Cree, assistant fire chief. "As part of our programs on fire safety and fire education, we promote the use of smoke detectors," said Jackson Twp. fire chief Chuck Foreman. "It's a proven fact that smoke detectors save lives and property, and that's the main goal of any fire department. We'll place these smoke detectors where we find a need." Rinehart said the Board of Realtors also cares about fire safety, and over the years, has given smoke detectors to other fire departments in the county. In this round of donations, the board also will give a dozen detectors to the Rockfield Fire Department. As part of the local networking, the detectors were purchased from Delphi Hardware and Paint at a discounted price. Comet photo by Jennifer Archibald
