New Camden Cemetery entryway
Camden Community Preservation Society received a $3,000 grant from the REMC's Operation Round-Up to go toward stone columns and iron fencing at the cemetery entrance. Donations from the community and proceeds from the Camden Woman's Literary Club Quilt Show helped fund the project. The work was done by Jeff Peters Custom Masonry. Two marble stones were donated by Cree Funeral Home, who acquired them from a building restoration project in Indianapolis. The second stone will be placed later at the other entrance to the cemetery. Engraving on the stone pictured was a complimentary service provided by Seele Monument Shop.
