Jacquelyn D. Frye

Jacquelyn D. Frye, 73, of Camden, passed away Aug. 26, 2007, at her residence.

She was born June 27, 1934, in Young America to Otis A. and Esther L. Curts Beamer. She married John T. Frye on Jan. 9, 1955, in Camden. He preceded her in death April 14, 1976.

Mrs. Frye graduated from Camden High School in 1952. She started her career at National Bank of Logansport and retired from Salin Bank in 1996 after 30 years of service.

She was a member of Camden United Methodist Church and Carroll Chapter Order of Eastern Star #475. She was treasurer of the Camden Preservation Society and was on the library and cemetery boards.

Surviving are two sons, Brad Frye of Kokomo and Rodney Frye (wife: Gail) of Camden; a sister, Camilla Downing; a sister in-law, Jean Beamer; two grandchildren, Maranda Hughes (husband: Don) of Flora and Maggie Wertz of Camden; four great-grandsons; a nephew, Kim Beamer (wife: Cherri); nieces Clarissa Burge and Malissa Allen (husband: John), all of Camden; and a host of great-nieces and greatnephews.

Mrs. Frye was preceded in death by a brother.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, from 3 p.m. until an O.E.S. service at 7:30. Visitation will continue Aug. 30 one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. at Camden United Methodist Church on S. Monroe St. Ken Thompson and Dan Gottschalk will officiate. Burial will be at Camden Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Camden-Jackson Township Public Library or Camden Preservation Society.
