Burlington A blood drive in honor of those who died on 9-11 will be held at the Burlington Park on Sept. 11 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. A drawing will be held to give away a flag that has flown over the Capitol. Burlington Town Council will meet Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. Burlington Community Club will meet at the park Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. Faith Church of Christ junior and senior high youth are collecting canned goods to help replenish the Kokomo Rescue Mission food pantry. First Brethren Church WMS will meet Sept. 6. Kiwanis Club will meet Saturday at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and a meeting at the fire station. The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Community Building on Sept. 11 from 1 to 6:30 p.m.All presenting donors will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for an American flag that flew over the State House. The blood drive is sponsored by the Burlington Kiwanis Club. |
