The war against vandalism
Delphi Parks Department Superintendent Richard Farrer stood next to the graffiti-free suspension bridge at Riley Park. After numerous coats of stain, graffiti remover and paint, an estimated $300 was spent on bridge maintenance to get rid of the vulgar remarks. This is the third time Farrer attacked the bridge problem this season. "We hope that after a while people will feel they are losing the battle," he said. Recently, juveniles caught vandalizing were turned over to authorities. Comet photo by Jenna Buehler
