ISP issues July statistics Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post have released statistics for July. Troopers issued 839 traffic citations and wrote 569 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 13 drunk drivers and made 56 criminal arrests. Other activity included: truck citations issued 165, commercial motor vehicle inspections 83, vehicle crashes investigated 36, crash arrests 1, and calls for police services 88. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division worked 21 new cases and assisted the troopers in total criminal arrests. The ISP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division inspected 800 buses in the eight counties that represent the Lafayette District. Full inspection of buses is done once a year with random checks done throughout the school year and when a bus is involved in a crash. |
