Carroll County Food Pantry in Delphi received $1,200 from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to buy food for needy residents.

Funds were raised by volunteers who used Thrivent's Care Abounds in Communities program during a matching funds drive earlier this year.

The program benefits individuals, families and qualified non-profit organizations through financial support of volunteer projects and fundraisers.

"CareAbounds in Communities allows Thrivent members and other volunteers to join in service," BobArney, director of the local food pantry said. "Thrivent chapter activities like this connect organizations, institutions and volunteers to make a difference in peoples' lives."
